Painting Our Story on a Flower Pot

A few years ago, my friend Edu had a very large flower pot from a plant that had died, and I came up with the great idea of painting it. We spent some time thinking about what I could do, and I decided to draw our group of friends along with things we had experienced together.
So I made a sketch where, at the bottom of the pot, we would appear standing in a row, and above us there would be small drawings of shared experiences and memories. I divided them into sections:
Iconic group meals (a burnt paella, some terrible patatas bravas, raclette, etc.).
Video games we had played together like Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Overcooked, SpeedRunners, and others.
Unforgettable moments, like when we accidentally set a barbecue on fire, or when we stayed at a country house where a possessed doll kept appearing all over the place (Stefannie, we love you), among others.
The last scene… can be interpreted in many ways.

The next step was to digitize it, just because I wanted to test the colors, even though it really wasn’t necessary.

And here I am in the process of painting the pot.

And finally, the result!
It turned out sooo good and it’s a memory for life. We also planted a cherry tree and buried a box underneath it with our wishes inside (very mystical, I know).
Could I commercialize this idea and make personalized pots for other groups of friends? Of course. Do I feel like it? Not really. It was a lot of work, honestly.
